We are seeking an Engineering Technician for a 12-month Temporary Assignment. In this role, you will archive documentation associated with short-term and long-term projects originating from internal and external sources for facilities, attractions, and entertainment venues.

This role reports to the Document Control Supervisor.

What You Will Do

• Ensure turnover deliverables meet the appropriate matrix processes, such as DASCOW for Facilities Asset Management (FAM) and the Deliverables Matrix for Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI).
• Confirm documentation is delivered with accurate content. This could include detailed document numbers, technical information for Worldwide Data Classification (WDC) numbers, native files that follow work standards, and Package Codes.
• Address customers with additional information concerning the turnover package (e.g., native files, Xrefs, models, or parts).
• Conform non-standard electronic files to Company standards and archive them into online repositories.
• Transfer information to and from online databases, and maintain computerized documentation, tracking systems, and data records.
• Support projects by assisting in the setup, receiving, tracking, verification, and turnover of documentation.
• Perform accurate level of quality control for all records using online programs, auditing, and visual checking.
• Conduct documentation research for clients using online tools and hard-copy records.
• Partner with leadership to evaluate any special requests from project groups such as large research projects or management of in-process documentation to ensure we handle requests and exceed their expectations.
• Stay updated with software revisions, new programs, and approved turnover formats.
• Partner with customers to provide Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) training and awareness.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Proficient in the latest version of AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and applied work experience using the software.
• Knowledge of archiving and retrieving information from databases

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and standards, understanding of BIM modeling file structures, and archival of BIM records.
• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
